The Committed Decision – Mind the Gap!

This week I seem to be aware of about ten different paths or programs or challenges or number of days that I could be joining in with, to benefit myself as a human being and also the readers of this blog and the participants in my workshops and groups. They range from the Philosopher’s Notes 50 Day Challenge, to Escaping Mediocrity’s 30 Days to Changing Your Game to Darren Rowse’s 31 Days to Build a Better Blog (that I’ve been on and off doing for ages – Darren, it’s brilliant – maybe I just don’t want it to end!).

Is anyone out there feeling this slight sense of overwhelm, too?!

Although I’d love to do all these fun and inspiring programs, I’m committed already to following The Artist’s Way for 12 weeks over on my art site… and also to jogging every weekday morning until at least the Easter break and also to being present at Sada Nam Kaur’s (watch out for her interview here on Room on the Edge in a few days time) amazing Kundalini Yoga course, for the next 11 weeks. I literally feel like I could explode if I took any more in or on! But I also know that this feeling will pass, I’ll settle into them quickly enough and then, which may be quite soon,  I’ll be able to take more on – I’ll have pushed my edges once again, stepped it all up a notch – and hopefully not fallen into The Gap.

Barbara Stanny explains it so well, so I thought I’d share it! I hope you enjoy this video from her Overcoming Underearning series.

...we have a lot of choice in how and where we spend each of our 24 hours in our day. (Yes, those same 24 hours that everyone else has!) And of course, those choices we make have a huge impact on our thoughts, our feelings and our actions, which in turn have a huge impact on our careers and on our businesses. Read more...
