Why attune to the Aries New Moon?

Why attune to the Aries New Moon?

A guest post by Donna Heath, Astrologer & Educator.

The practice of embracing the energy of each month’s new Moon can empower us and give us a clear focus to revitalize and renew.

The moon is the symbol of the universal feminine, our heart or soul, the Yin, our emotional memory, how we feel nurtured and happy. So, as the energy of the new moon emerges each month it offers us an opening to begin anew, and plants the seed for the monthly cycle. The astrological sign of the new moon describes the type of energy we can call forth to claim our power, set an intention, and create what we want for ourselves.

This month’s new moon is on April 14th and is in the first sign of the zodiac, Aries. This firey sign symbolizes willpower, enthusiam, the life force, adventure, and self-assertion.

By attuning to Aries, we learn to discover our courage, to claim our power, and to take risks and conquer our fears.

The practice:

Take time this April 14th to meditate, & to feel your fears and to focus on the spiritual warrior within you. Choose a monthly focus as you ask yourself the following questions:

In what area of life do I need more________?

  • Courage
  • Will
  • Selfishness
  • Power
  • Leadership
  • Risk/Adventure
  • Conflict Resolution

Visualize yourself manifesting your chosen quality as you match your intention with the energy of the ARIES new moon.

You can renew your intention throughout the month by lighting a candle & welcoming your desired image into your daily meditation.
